Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I grew up in Garden City, and ever since I can remember existing, I have always ordered from Kitty's for chinese food. Literally, the BEST almond chicken ever and the chicken egg rolls mmmmmmmmm. I now live out in California, and seriously, I cannot find anywhere that makes egg rolls like Kittys do. Every time I come home to visit, I ALWAYS visit Kittys with my dad. This place is so good, priced very well, and comforting.

I grew up eating at Kitty's.most of the time we get carry out.this place has always looked dirty and decor from 1970.went bk recently. They have a new owner and the chef left when the owner did.I noticed the menu was updated with higher prices.the husband does all the cooking.my almond chicken was so dry I couldn't eat it.the wife is the only waitress and she can barely walk.she pushes a cart around with your food on there.since the prices are now higher they can afford to have more then 1 waitress and get a better cook.we won't be bk

I've been eating here at Kitty's since I was a little girl back in the early 70's, so for about 40 years now. Hands down they have the very best won ton soup around town. Chock full of won tons, meat, and veggies. And I mean full unlike some that you get at other restaurants where they give you a dumpling and mostly broth. Not here, I'm happy to say. We always get the same thing, so my comments on the food are limited to about 7 different items on the menu. Not the whole menu as I'm a creature of habit here. The food is good, and hot. And I have never had an egg roll anywhere else that tastes remotely as good as here. I have only eaten in two times and I always take my food as takeout. They do a ton of takeout business. There is almost always more than one of us waiting for our food when you walk in the door, but no worries, they move the food quickly so you don't have to wait too long. So based on my takeout experience I find this to my our family's main stay for local Chinese food. As for the interior, it looks the same as it did decades ago when we first started going here. And yes, it is dated. So don't expect a stylish interior. Best bet is takout and enjoy your good food at home. TIP: a few years back they started adding garlic powder to the food. We noticed right away and didn't like it and now when we place our order we say "no garlic.". And they make it without. Just the good ol days.

My family came here for years. They always liked the food but it was a dirty place. I came here and there was no joke a COCKROACH on the wall next to me. I never have come back and neither has my family.

The coke they served was cold, but the rice was very dry and left much to be desired only had small chunks of chicken and had no vegetables. I also had the General Tso chicken entree, large portion but The sauce tasted very bland and almost like it was burnt in he pan but they served it any way. This has been a Garden City favorite for years but keep in mind the sign on the door says "new and improved" maybe they should have never changed any thing. Because I was very disappointed with my meal, in fact I turned down a take out box.

After making fun of this place for years (Meow!) I was invited by a friend to stay for take-out from here and I was hooked. Delicious and good portions of tasty food won me over. I don't live near here, but I drive past other Chinese restaurants to get take out from here. I love the orange chicken from here. The pineapple chicken is good for those looking for grilled chicken rather than deep fried, pineapple, and veggies. The fried rice is always good. I've enjoyed the sesame chicken, sweet & sour chicken, lemon chicken, low mein, and other dishes. I can get 2-3 meals from a single combination take-out. Outdated interior, yes but I have not seen any of the other "dirty" or infestation problems others claim of here. I new Chinese favorite of mine. The meat and other components of the food here seem to be high quality.

MEEEWOW! Perfect Sweet and Sour. Over 40 years in the same location Kitty's has the perfect ambiance for an oriental restaurant. Their Carry out is super fast and I can honestly say their pork fried rice is excellent. The Sesame Chicken is not overpowering like a lot of places, and the white rice is perfectly cooked for eating with real chop-sticks. Located in the heart of Garden City the only draw back is parking in the rear not good when it rains. The Purrrrrfect end to a day.

Mmmm, Kitty's. The decor is severely outdated and aesthetically unappealing but the food is soooo good. It is nearly empty every time I go in there but they do crazy carryout business, and rightfully so. I am a creature of habit and stick with the Almond Chicken (is there a better comfort food than fried chicken, gravy and fried rice???) but encourage the hubs to try different things so we can "share." It's always good. High marks for the Vegetable soup too.
